Background

This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student to conduct research in a project entitled ‘Molecular pathways to explain the differences between atopic dermatitis (AD) subtypes’. The project aims to employ a large-scale proteomic study in AD using clinical specimens from diverse ethnical groups and patients with various immunoglobulin E (IgE) serum levels to identify molecular biomarkers that may influence their susceptibility to the disease and response to therapies and to facilitate the development of new targeted therapies.

This Scholarship is funded by the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD).
