Project title: Platinum(IV)-intercalator complexes for targeting tumours
Project outline: synthesising platinum(IV)-intercalator analogues of the anticancer drug cisplatin in order to improve its selectivity for tumour cells.

2009 to present: Post-Graduate Teaching Fellow, School of Chemistry, University of Sydney - teaching first year chemistry students in tutorials, going through problems sheets, aiding students and grading exams

Nov 2008 to Jan 2009: Summer Employment, School of Chemistry, University of Sydney – research assistant for the Hambley group.

2008: Laboratory demonstrator, School of Chemistry, University of Sydney - demonstrated first year chemistry students in laboratories, aiding them through experiments and helping them with calculations.

Nov 2005 to Jan 2006: Summer Research Scholarship, School of Chemistry, University of Sydney

Project title: Magnetic properties of porous Prussian Blue analogues

Experienced researcher with training in inorganic synthesis (particularly platinum chemistry), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and cell culture.
