Exam dates

We are deeply saddened by the tragic events in Bondi and extend our support to all affected. If you feel unable to sit an exam or submit an assessment, you can apply for Special consideration, which will be treated favourably. When submitting an application, please select 'Grief or bereavement' as the reason you are applying and documentation will not be required.

If you are experiencing distress or would like to talk to someone, we encourage you to contact Student Wellbeing, or to contact our After-Hours Support Line by calling 1300 474 065 or text 0488 884 429.

Read through your unit of study outlines carefully at the start of semester to make sure you're aware of when you need to be ready for your exams.

If required for your unit, in-semester tests, in-class assessments and quizzes will be arranged by your unit of study coordinator outside the end-of-semester exam period.

It's recommended that you don't make any extracurricular commitments or travel plans throughout the end-of-semester main and replacement exam periods. Exams will be scheduled to start at 9am, 1pm, or 5pm and you won’t necessarily have an exam at the same time or day as when you usually have class for that unit.

2026 Intensive and out-of-session exams

In 2026 each session, including intensives, will have a dedicated exam period after their teaching dates. These dates are outlined on our Key dates page.

  • Find the details of your exams in your unit of study outline.
  • You'll be given an exam timetable for each unit of study but to help you plan your studies you can visit the Key dates page. You can filter for each intensive session to see when the exam timetable will be released and when the exam period will take place.
  • You can also view the exams dates for any sessions you are enrolled in through the Student Portal and app.

If you are completing a unit during a 2025 intensive or other session, your exam period is not available on the Key dates page. Instead you will need to refer to your unit of study outline to see which of the exam weeks you have been assigned.
