Refunds can only be sent to the original payment method. If you paid by MasterCard, Visa, American Express or a JCB card and incurred our surcharge, the surcharge will be fully refunded. If you are receiving a partial refund of a payment, the surcharge component will be calculated on a pro-rata basis. If the card you originally used to pay is no longer active, you'll need to provide evidence of this from your bank.
If you paid using a prepaid gift card and/or prepaid debit/credit card, you may not be able to receive your refund if you have lost the card or it has expired.
If you've applied for a refund for your tuition fees and you are eligible for a refund of SSAF, you don't need to submit a separate refund application - we will process the refunds together.
If you are only requesting a refund for your SSAF, follow the steps to request a refund in Sydney Student. Read our SSAF page for information on how your SSAF rate is determined based on your study load.
