Study spaces

Whether you need a collaborative working space, access to a computer or a place to plug in your laptop, we have spaces all over our campuses for you to study.

COVID-19 update: Library open with restrictions in place, study spaces and Learning Hubs closed

Study spaces and learning hubs are closed from 6pm Saturday 26 June for the duration of the current Public Health Order. The Library remains open to students, staff and affiliates with swipe card access for the purpose of study or work, with masks required. See more details below.

All computers managed by ICT in our study spaces are virtual desktops. They provide access to standard software, as well as course-specific applications. You can customise your virtual desktop so that bookmarks, applications and downloads are available on any of our computers when you log in.

You can find computers on the campus map by selecting ‘Computer access centres’.

At the end of each study session, remember to keep a backup of your work by emailing it to yourself, saving it to an external USB or to an online file storage service such as Dropbox or iCloud.

Libraries

Library locations have reopened to University of Sydney staff and students with a valid staff or student ID card. For the most up-to-date information on access, please see the Library’s COVID-19 library updates and support page.

See the full list of Library locations and opening hours.

Conditions of entry apply in all Library locations, which includes keeping to a limited maximum occupancy, practising physical distancing, and using hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes.
