Community workshops, roundtables and forums tackling policy challenges
Our events bring together people from different backgrounds and sectors to collaboratively workshop policy change for the common good.

Stay in touch with our events

Our workshops and forums bring together the wider community, world-renowned experts and University of Sydney researchers to troubleshoot the most pressing policy changes of our time, and create solutions for lasting social change.

For example, one of our forums tackled Sydney's housing crisis – what will it take to achieve affordable, secure and safe housing?

Get in touch with us if you are interested in attending our forums and workshops, or if you would like to suggest a person or topic for us to consider for a future event.

Our change breakfasts regularly provide a non-partisan space for up to 60 leaders from academia, civil society, local government, public service, industry and other sectors to learn and practise methods of change.

We hold them in our collaborative learning space at the RD Watt Building on the University of Sydney's main campus. Change breakfasts bring world-renowned changemakers to campus to share their insights and to debate and discuss practical tactics, strategies and approaches to social and political change with our community.

Recent topics include:

  • What systems and behaviours need to change to stop global inequality?
  • How can we tear down the ivory tower and build truly public universities?
  • How can we unite a plurality of visions and values into compelling, workable ideas and pathways for systemic change?

Please get in touch if you would like to be added to the invitation list, or if you would like to suggest a person or topic for us to consider for a future change breakfast.
