This placement will give students experience working in a professional environment. Students can choose to attend any form of non-farm agriculture, animal, or natural resource related business e.g., a feed/nutrition company, a stock and station agent (e.g., CRC or Elders), farm consultancies (e.g., agronomist), ag-tech companies, non-profit organisations, Local Land Services etc. During the placement, it is important for students to understand the nature of the business, the environment in which it operates, the governance, and how management decisions are made. There are a number of sites listed on the placement database (SONIA), however, students are welcome to find and apply to add new industry sites.
