AMAT4104: Applied Mathematics Honours Project B

Independent research can be a life changing experience. In this unit you will complete a research project in the discipline of Applied Mathematics. Together with your supervisor, you will identify a novel research question and develop a model, or propose some mathematical or computational analysis. You will then carry out this program of work to produce results that can be interpreted in terms of the underlying real-world problem. Your work will be assessed by a twenty minute presentation towards the end of your honours year and a 40 to 60 page honours thesis. Successful completion of your Honours will clearly demonstrate that you have mastered significant research and professional skills for either undertaking a PhD or any variety of future careers.
