ARCH4004: Dissertation and Research Methods B

2026 unit information

The Bachelor of Design in Architecture (Honours) and Bachelor of Architecture and Environments (Honours) appended Honours degrees allows students to devise and carry out a substantial individual research project over two successive semesters of full-time study. Guided by an academic with expertise in their area of research, students advance their project and present it for discussion and critique at key stages of development. Students conjointly undertake two 12 credit point Units of Study - ARCH4003 and ARCH4004 - in their first semester of study and two 12 credit point Units of Study - ARCH4005 and ARCH4006 - in their second semester of study. They are awarded a single grade for all Units of Study upon examination of their dissertation, which is to be a clearly articulated, accurately refenced and appropriately illustrated document that is the culmination of the Undergraduate Honours component of their degree. Please refer to the Architecture, Design and Planning Handbook for eligibility and application requirements.
