ARHT2674: Fashion and Dress: Past and Present
This unit offers an introduction to the study of dress through the discussion of major theories and methodologies that inform current scholarship in the field. With a focus on designers, wearers and cultural practices of dressing the body, the unit will question how dress communicates as a form of visual expression.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. develop the ability to identify and discuss key theories and practices relating to the study of dress across a variety of disciplines
- LO2. demonstrate a critical understanding of leading designers and designs, materials and practices
- LO3. develop new skills of critical thinking, problem solving and information literacy
- LO4. develop the skills to approach and discuss complex topics with sensitivity
- LO5. build skills related to offering feedback to peer.
