In this unit, students will gain an understanding of research methods and study design, research quality and ethical practice and how research outcomes inform and apply to health promotion and health service delivery. The unit will extend on knowledge from BBHE1004 Foundations of Public and Population Health and BBHE1006 Data Mastery for Health: Numbers to Outcomes. It will also explore the impact of meaningful person-centred research for appropriate, accepted and feasible models of care. It will extend on and integrate learnings from earlier health, biomedicine, and interprofessional skills units to provide a more holistic view of patient care.
