Integrated design is the process used to optimize building elements and systems to minimise resource use, improve the wellbeing of occupants, community and health of local ecosystems in a just and equitable way. Students will work on practice-based research projects covering at least 2 of the key themes of the degree (building performance, sustainable design, designing with culture, community engagement, and advanced data analytics and modelling). Students will be initially expected to work in teams on aspects of the project and develop this individually to a convincing level of resolution as the final deliverable. The project will demonstrate an advanced understanding of, and reflect the key learning outcomes and takeaways from, the core topics students have engaged with throughout the degree.
