Studio Foundation 2 continues your investigation of 2, 3, and 4 Dimensional fields of enquiry and culminates in a final X Dimensional (Interdisciplinary) project. Here, you will build on the skills and thinking developed throughout the year and deepen your understanding of Contemporary Art by merging modes of studio practice.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:

  • LO1. Demonstrate emerging competencies in the skills, systems, and approaches to contemporary art practice.
  • LO2. The application of skills in the generation of art objects, and engagements relative to visual art. Showing evidence of of development in skills and technologies, and the capacity to reflect on the art-making process as it relates to the demands of the unit.
  • LO3. Demonstrate the strategies requisite to a critical awareness within art-making: the appropriate application of concepts and the willingness to explore unfamiliar approaches
  • LO4. Demonstrate a commitment to art practice, deploying qualities of regularity, consistency and openness with the objective of shapin ga dedicated art practice
  • LO5. Adopt an experimental and imaginative approach to the creative process to pursue idiosyncratic, innovative outcomes
  • LO6. Show a willingness to work in groups with the intention of developing a collaborative, inclusive and discursive approach to studio activity.
