2024 unit information

This subject will follow a trajectory based on advanced rhythmic organisation methods, application of rhythmic forms within an ensemble context, alternative improvisational contexts, as well as a variety of stylistic areas. The subject will also include the creation of new works by the ensemble cohort, with a primary focus on collaboration, communication, problem solving, and process development.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:

  • LO1. manipulate a range of rhythmic practices, stylistic areas, sticking vocabularies, and improvisational frameworks/procedures
  • LO2. manipulate developmental processes that allow for the creation of personal rhythmic vocabulary
  • LO3. communicate effectively in ways that allow for multi-disciplinary collaborative action.
