2024 unit information
This unit continues the preparation for teaching Drama 7-12, with a focus on Stage 6, HSC Drama. Students examine the issues relating to individual project work and the collaborative aspects of the drama syllabuses. This unit also explores issues related to assessment and programming of drama as well as exploring quality teaching in drama education. Students will deepen their understanding of the cognitive/affective development which the study of Drama anticipates, and further develop their own personal style of teaching.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. design and implement lesson sequences using knowledge of the NSW syllabus and related curriculum policy documents
- LO2. use student group structures including peer teaching to address drama teaching and learning goals
- LO3. demonstrate research based knowledge of drama pedagogy
- LO4. design and implement lesson sequences using knowledge of NSW syllabus documents recognising that students have different approaches to learning
- LO5. demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of ICTs to develop and deliver learning and teaching in drama.
