This unit offers foundational understanding and skills necessary to collect, analyse, interpret critically and report diverse evidence in educational innovation projects. It introduces key types of data used in evaluations of educational innovations and what they can tell about success. Students will learn to plan evaluations, choose data collection methods appropriate for a particular purpose, and gain hands-on experience creating and piloting instruments and analysing quantitative and qualitative data. Students will also learn to use various kinds of available learning data and learning analytics tools.
