2027 unit information
In this Unit of Study students develop their musicianship and technical skills to play the carillon. Students will explore early carillon repertoire of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, as well as modern techniques and performance styles developed in Europe since 1887 and in Australia since 1928. There is a strong focus on historical and stylistic awareness through research, discussion, and application, and students will also develop strategies towards autonomous practice.
