GCST6924: Contemporary Issues in Cultural Research

2026 unit information

Students explore issues and approaches in cultural research to prepare for the follow-on unit Cultural Research Project. Students participate in workshops on cultural research topics and research skills. They write critical responses to topics presented, search for and analyse literature in a field of their choice, and propose a longer project around a research problem within their chosen field. Contemporary Issues in Cultural Research and Cultural Research Project when both taken form one of the capstone options for the Master of Cultural Studies. Students should consult the postgraduate coursework coordinator for Cultural Studies prior to enrolment. Enrolment requires discipline approval.
