At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. Exhibit a high standard of active and passive competence in German and an ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in a range of registers in both written and spoken German.
- LO2. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of German societies, and an ability to discuss issues pertaining to culture, society, education, history, and politics creatively and effectively, to formulate sound arguments and to defend them.
- LO3. Demonstrate high levels of cultural competence and the ability to critically reflect on their own society and heritage.
- LO4. Demonstrate critical thinking, information and digital literacy, and the capacity to from ethical judgments.
- LO5. Exhibit the skills and confidence to work openly and productively, with integrity and confidence in diverse groups and across linguistic and cultural boundaries.
- LO6. Effectively apply approaches and knowledge from Germanic studies to issues encountered in an interdisciplinary context.
