The Basic Immunology syllabus covers the requirements of trainee physician practice. The unit is focused on diagnosis and investigation of common immunological disorders and the essentials of management of these conditions. At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. present a structured approach to describing the basic mechanisms of the immune system
- LO2. recognise presentations of immunological conditions
- LO3. develop a diagnostic plan to investigate suspended immunological conditions
- LO4. describe management properties of immune conditions
- LO5. recognise potential risks of immunomodulatory therapies.
