The Advanced Rheumatology syllabus is at a level appropriate for practitioners undertaking specialist training in rheumatology or with an interest in the field. The content is focused on advanced management of common and important rheumatologic diseases but also covers diagnosis and investigation of important but less common rheumatologic conditions.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. LO1 : Describe recent and emerging developments in rheumatology
- LO2. LO2: Explain the role of individualised management in rheumatology.
- LO3. LO3: Initiate appropriate specialised investigations for rheumatological conditions and explain the limitations and pitfalls of these investigations.
- LO4. LO4 Manage common and less common rheumatological conditions, including management of complications and co-morbidities
- LO5. LO5: Analyse how research evidence and goal-directed literature reviews inform management decisions in rheumatology practice.
- LO6. LO6 Communicate with peers and supervisors about diagnostic and management problems
