At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. demonstrate linguistic and cultural knowledge appropriate to the B1 European Framework of Reference (CEFR) level or equivalent
- LO2. acquire and evaluate new linguistic and cultural knowledge through independent research
- LO3. demonstrate awareness and open-mindedness about social, cultural and linguistic diversity in Australia and the world
- LO4. read original texts of appropriate length and difficulty in Italian on a variety of topics, and discuss their cultural context comparing Italian and Australian experiences
- LO5. present information and express opinions both orally and in writing on some topics relevant to contemporary Italy
- LO6. understand and use with confidence basic Italian structures; and understand and start to use more complex ones.
