At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. translate texts from a variety of genres and topic areas
- LO2. exploit dictionaries, on-line resources and thesauri
- LO3. deal with problems of register and forms of address
- LO4. conduct self-reflection and critical analysis in order to identify and adopt translation strategies
- LO5. conduct background research and use teamwork to analyse and translate texts
- LO6. understand professional ethical issues.
