2025 unit information
This unit aims to further develop oral and written communication skills beyond the intermediate level. Students will acquire fluency in oral communication, with particular emphasis on sophistication and formality of speech. Reading and writing skills are developed through the use of structured texts from the prescribed textbook and selections of authentic reading materials from a range of sources.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. demonstrate fluency in oral communication, with particular emphasis on sophistication and formality of speech
- LO2. develop reading and writing skills through the use of structured texts from the prescribed textbook and selections of authentic reading materials from a range of sources
- LO3. demonstrate an understanding of advanced grammatical structures, vocabulary and communicative functions.
