2024 unit information

This unit gives students the opportunity to build further on language knowledge and translation skills, while developing expertise in the literary study of Latin texts. It involves the close reading and analysis of classic works of Latin poetry and/or prose. Attention will be paid to the literary qualities, style and narrative technique, as well as to generic and socio-historical background of the texts, and to the intricacies of grammar and syntax. Authors and texts will vary from year to year.
