2022 unit information

The unit allows the student, in collaboration with the University supervisor and the student`s employer, to tailor the content to suit the his/her learning needs . For example, new technology or procedures may be introduced into the workplace, necessitating changes in the knowledge, skills and attributes of the student. The student must initially present a proposal to the unit of study (UoS) coordinator.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:

  • LO1. identify and substantiate the theoretical underpinning of the topic that you have chosen to investigate
  • LO2. demonstrate familiarity with the relevant literature
  • LO3. identify gaps in the research literature
  • LO4. critically evaluate a proposed new technology or procedure
  • LO5. describe the applications of the topic
  • LO6. where relevant, design a program for introduction and/or implementation of the technology or procedure into the workplace.
