This unit of study builds on NUR5206 Development of Nursing Practicefocusing on person-centred practice and shared decision making with people experiencing acute disruptions to their health and wellbeing at different life stages. The unit of study will explore commonly occurring conditions, which are often long term, but may be experienced in the acute care environment. Using the Clinical Reasoning Process students will further develop their ability to process and synthesise clinical information, to develop, implement and evaluate nursing interventions. Additionally, students will further develop their understanding of quality use of medicines within the context of nursing practice.
