At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. Demonstrate a basic understanding of motion in one, two and three dimensions, as well as forces, momentum and centripetal motion.
- LO2. Demonstrate a conceptual understanding of the underlying physical principles such as Newton’s Laws, moments of inertia, and sound, apply this to specific situations in kinematics and acoustics.
- LO3. Solve calculations and analyse the mentioned topics quantitatively.
- LO4. Develop practical laboratory skills in safety, procedure, and measurement.
- LO5. Develop analysis and reporting skills, including in quantitative data analysis, assessment and tracing of errors, and scientific report writing.
