At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. Explain bonding and structures of alkanes, alkenes and alkynes
- LO2. Describe and recognize various types of isomerism present in the main three groups of hydrocarbon
- LO3. Identify different organic reactions (substitution, elimination, and addition) and to show a bond breaking/forming using curved arrows to represent the movement of electrons
- LO4. Investigate simple spectroscopic data to identify structures of organic molecules
