This unit of study aims to tie together all of the clinical and theoretical knowledge gained through evidence based oral health clinical practice related to the scope of practice for Oral Health Therapists. This includes extended age range for restorative treatment.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. Produce a portfolio which examines and reflects on multiple aspects of oral health therapy practice, supported by evidence- based sources, in order to communicate your holistic understanding of the oral health therapy profession
- LO2. Design evidence-based treatment plans for patient care based on assessment of histories, oral health status, diagnosis, risk assessment, and aligned with the phases of care framework.
- LO3. Analyse and outline clinical decision making in the diagnosis, treatment planning and intervention and control of disease, in order to provide safe and effective patient care within the oral health therapy scope of practice
- LO4. Propose the use of diagnostic tests, study models, intraoral photographs and vitality testing, and analyse the findings of such additional assessment data.
- LO5. Appraise a diagnostic summary of a patient case with a thorough and systematic analysis of relevant patient data and risk factors
