This unit of study integrates clinical and professional knowledge and skills learnt during the undergraduate component of the combined degree. It prepares students for practice in the pharmacy profession by providing them with the opportunity to apply what they have learnt to various pharmacy settings during the work-integrated learning (WIL) component of this unit of study. The two 10-week blocks (four days a week) are intentionally integrated with time on campus where students engage in small-group learning. The coursework component provides students with the opportunity to reflect, consolidate and complement learnings from real-life pharmacy settings in a supportive environment where students can receive expert and peer support as they prepare for practice, including passing the pharmacist registration exams.
