This unit of study will provide students with a deeper understanding and insight into the role of social policy across society. This includes the exploration of key theoretical social work perspectives and policy making processes to assist in creating responsive social policy that addresses social justice issues. Themes of poverty, politics, neo-liberalism and citizenship are utilised to understand the context in which social work strives to makes a difference.
