This unit of study will focus on key areas of inclusive policy and practice shaping the experiences of older people. Themes of human development, communication and understanding diversity are further developed with a focus on diverse needs and experiences of older people. The critical role of self and collective advocacy in achieving significant shift towards more inclusive societies will be a key theme of learning. Common social work themes of emancipatory practice, self-determination and human rights will be included.
