SPAN3611: Spanish Level 7
This unit is for students who wish to extend their knowledge of Spanish beyond the level of general competence achieved in SPAN3002. It focuses on the use of Spanish in a variety of formal and informal contexts, using authentic materials in order to help you deepen and perfect your Spanish. Class discussion and written tasks will allow you to improve your oral and written competence in Spanish as well as your analytical and communication skills.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. use spoken and written Spanish proficiently
- LO2. understand the majority of Spanish you hear or read with ease, even if some items are still unknown to you
- LO3. summarise information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation
- LO4. express yourself spontaneously, fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations
- LO5. improve your analytical and critical abilities, written and oral communication skills, awareness of cross-cultural issues and teamwork skills.
