Our research explores the role of design for speculating on the future, and to envision, define and inform the interactions and experiences between people and digital and emerging technologies.
We conduct research that experiments with a wide range of approaches, from biomaterials to AI to human-computer interaction. We investigate the application of emerging technologies in cities, with a strong focus on the interface of technology and vital experience, both human and non-human. Our researchers draw on knowledge, methodologies and theories from fields such as smart cities, experience design, urban health, digital placemaking and community engagement.
