At the CREATE Centre we believe one of the most valuable things we can do is make sure everyone knows about the research and resources being generated around creativity, across disciplines and across the world. This is where you will meet the scholars, educators and artists who make up our community.

Every year we play a role in establishing international events that create opportunites for global dialoge about creativity. This event was co-convened by the CREATE Centre, the New Victory Theatre and Roundabout Theatre, the symposium took place in New York over two days on 17-18 June 2025. Featuring a mix of practical workshops, incredible performances, critical discussions, and academic presentations, the symposium engaged teaching artists, theatre educators, policy makers, and practitioners. Together, we explored innovative practices, varied understandings of success, and theoretical and empirical frameworks that underpin this sector of theatrical practice, strengthening the CREATE Centre's place in a global network of creative institutions.
We hold Roundtables to bring experts across a particular field together to explore research opportunities and potential fresh partnerships.
