Indigenous Supplier Development Program

This three-month part-time program will give you the communication, strategic and leadership skills required to take your business to the next level.

Featuring in-person and online learning delivery, this program has been co-designed with busy business owners and entrepreneurs in mind.

Developing your capabilities and techniques to win more business, you will be supported on this journey by your new professional network of peers and industry leaders.

Who should attend

This program is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business owners, employees and entrepreneurs who: 

  • operate in the NSW construction and infrastructure sectors 

  • are looking to build the capability of their business to be "tender-ready"

  • own, operate, are employed by, or developing an "Aboriginal business" or "Indigenous Enterprise" as defined within the Aboriginal Procurement Policy (NSW) and Indigenous Procurement Policy (Cth) 

What will you learn

A highly focussed and practical course, including interactive workshops, independent online study plus guest speakers sharing their personal journeys and lived experiences. Topics that will be covered include: 

  • Identifying and communicating your business narrative

  • Designing a sustainable strategy for business growth

  • Developing frameworks for your core business functions, including risk and governance

Your learning will culminate in the presentation of your tender-ready RFT to an industry procurement panel who will provide you with valuable, individual feedback.
