We are delighted to offer a UN Women Australia MBA Scholarship for our part-time MBA valued at over $70,000. This scholarship recognises outstanding leadership, with a commitment to enhancing women’s rights and opportunities. 

Applications for the UN Women Australia MBA Scholarship for Semester 2, 2026 are now closed.

Eligibility

The UN Women Australia MBA scholarship is open to all applicants who meet the eligibility criteria for admission to the part-time MBA at the University of Sydney.

Applicants need not have applied for the degree prior to applying for the scholarship – however – only those applicants deemed eligible for entry to the part-time MBA via the prevailing admissions processes are eligible to be awarded the relevant scholarship.

The degree is currently not available to international students requiring a student visa. Current students enrolled in the University of Sydney MBA, University of Sydney employees and UN Women Australia employees are not eligible to apply.

Selection process

Entrants must complete an initial scholarship application and submit a statement of motivation.

Shortlisted applicants are required to attend an in-person group discussion forum and submit a short reflective essay.

Application

We need to know a little bit more about you. Before completing the below entry form please make sure you have the following information:

  • Academic qualification details i.e. completion year and grade average.
  • A copy of your official transcript from the Registrar of your previous institution (with English translation). (Note, original copies of transcripts must be provided on request or prior to interview).
  • A one to two page statement of motivation (PDF document) outlining:
    • Leadership experience and potential in their chosen field
    • A demonstrated commitment to enhancing women’s leadership
    • An interest in international relations, gender and development; and
    • A passion for using business skills to drive social change  
  • Curriculum Vitae (PDF document).
