Restoring sight has a miraculous quality to it, but recent advances in vision therapies have come straight from gifted researchers, including those at the University of Sydney’s Save Sight Institute. Professor Peter McCluskey AO, Director of the Save Sight Institute at Sydney Eye Hospital and alumna, Professor Robyn Jamieson (PhD '98) have paves the way for some incredible breakthroughs.

When Audrey Bersten graduated, she was one of the few women working in Biochemistry at the University of Sydney. After her son passed away from complications with a rare blood cancer, she decided to support Associate Professor Karen MacKenzie’s vital research in the field.
