International Studies

Candidates for the Graduate Certificate in International Studies are required to complete 24 credit points, including 6 credit points of core units of study and 18 credit points of elective units of study.
Candidates for the Graduate Diploma in International Studies are required to complete 48 credit points, including a minimum of 12 credit points of core units of study and a maximum of 36 credit points of elective units of study.
Candidates for the Master of International Studies are required to complete 96 credit points, including a minimum of 12 credit points of core units of study, a maximum of 78 credit points of elective units of study (which can include an optional specialisation as listed in the unit of study table), and a minimum of 6 credit points of capstone units of study.

Students must satisfy any prerequisite requirements set by the offering Department or Centre, as well as any prerequisites set by individual units of study, before they enrol in any unit of study. Students may complete up to 12 credit points (2 units of study) outside the International Relations postgraduate Unit of Study table, with permission of the Postgraduate Coursework coordinator.
