Congratulations to our Sydney Law School alumni who have been appointed Senior Counsel this year.
The announcement was recently made by the President of the New South Wales Bar Association, Gabrielle Bashir SC.
Eight new barristers that have been appointed Senior Counsel were identified as Sydney Law School alumni.
Senior counsel are barristers who have demonstrated outstanding skill as advocates and advisers in the administration of justice. Known informally as 'silks', they work on particularly complex or difficult cases. Prior to 1993 in New South Wales such barristers were known as a QC or Queen's Counsel.
Further congratulations to the latest Victorian Silks:
Students took part in an immersive experience and gained valuable learnings during the Himalayan Field School, a partnership with Kathmandu School of Law that was supported by the Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan.
