Take part in a hands-on fibre weaving workshop and connect with local Dharawal knowledge holders.
Join Malima for a hands-on fibre weaving workshop using locally sourced Lomandra fibres. Participants will learn traditional weaving techniques and create their own basket while connecting with local Dharawal cultural knowledge, plants and practices passed down through generations.
This event is part of True Custodians: Weaving Knowledge, a workshop series celebrating the vibrant diversity of First Nations fibre practices across NSW. Delivered in dialogue with the exhibition Fibre Optics: First Nations women in fibre, the series brings people together to weave, learn and share.
