The University of Sydney’s Chau Chak Wing Museum, in partnership with the Council of Australian University Museums and Collections (CAUMAC), are hosting The 2026 Knowledgeable Object Symposium. The Symposium explores diverse practical applications for working with objects in educational and museum contexts.
It is aimed at OBL practitioners including teachers and professionals in Education (Tertiary, Secondary, Primary, Early Learning) and the GLAM sector. Tuesday will be open to up to 20 students and early career professionals, see program below for more details.
This event is for GLAM and EDU sector Students and Early Career Professionals. It offers OBL professional development, harnessing intriguing objects from the CCWM collections. Participants will work together in small groups to investigate How can GLAM Institutions in Australia, particularly those born of a colonial legacy, sustainably, ethically and authentically work with collections from across the breadth of Asia and the Pacific?
