Join us for an intensive day of archaeology at the University of Sydney's Chau Chak Wing Museum these school holidays. Join with museum staff and archaeologists in a full day program packed to the rafters with ancient Egypt. After you get dropped off, you will learn more about Egyptology, the Egyptian gods and goddesses, mummification processes and explore the museum's collection of Egyptian antiquities. Handle genuine ancient artefacts from ancient Egypt. Discover how archaeologists work in Egypt in the 21st century. In this program we will meet Rameses II, Tutankhamun and Cleopatra, as well as other interesting ancient Egyptian figures. You will create Egyptian replicas and make our own scarabs.
Join us in scribe school as you learn hieroglyphs.
Please bring your own bag with your own morning tea and lunch and water bottle.
Suitable for 8-13 year olds. Children to be dropped off at the museum foyer. Please notify us of medical needs.
