Celebrate Halloween with the OG ghosts stories from the ancient Near East!

From the time of our earliest written records, ghosts, demons, and monsters have haunted the human imagination. This Halloween, join us at the Chau Chak Wing Museum as we discuss the ancient ghost stories from Mesopotamia.

From evaluating different types of ghosts, to protecting children from wind demons, to ancient rituals for ghostbusting, we explore the things that went bump in the night 5,000 years ago, to discover the familiar shape of the world’s first ghost stories.
