We welcome students and members of the public to the museum during the University of Sydney’s Welcome Festival 2026.

To celebrate the start of Semester One join us at the Chau Chak Wing Museum for fun and festivities. This is for everyone not just students, although we welcome our new students to explore the collections before your studies commence.

The Chau Chak Wing Museum will host a stall in University Village and will also offer a pop-up museum outside titled Walking the Footsteps of Our Ancestors: A Welcome Week pop-up museum in which we highlight archaeological materials from Iraq in the collection and exploring the connections between these ancient objects and modern student life.
