Dear University community, 

We’re deeply saddened by an incident involving a pedestrian and a car that took place on City Road this afternoon. 

Emergency services responded immediately and we’re continuing to assist them and urge staff and students to avoid the area this afternoon.

We understand the people involved are international visitors and our thoughts are with them and anyone that may have witnessed this distressing incident. 

Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam or mobile footage to contact them on 1800 333 000. Information is managed on a confidential basis and Police are reminding people not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
