Our International Student Fee Refund Policy explains when and how international students can get a refund. It covers different situations such as visa refusal, course withdrawal, or University default.

You may be eligible for a refund if:

  • you withdraw, suspend or defer your course before the census date
  • you submit your research thesis before the census date
  • your visa is refused
  • you fail to enrol in time
  • we fail to provide the course you have paid for
  • you become a permanent resident before enrolling or before the census date.

Note: The amount of the refund will depend on factors specific to your circumstances. Please read the full policy for details.

You are not eligible for a refund if:

  • you withdraw or suspend your course after the census date
  • you fail to pay fees by the due date
  • you breach a visa condition
  • your enrolment is suspended or terminated for:
    • misconduct
    • breach our student discipline or academic integrity policies
  • you provide fraudulent information
  • you are excluded based on your academic progression
  • you become a permanent resident after the census date.

We refund student services and amenities (SSAF) fees if you withdraw before the census date.

We refund money paid for overseas health cover if:

  • the reason you are unable to complete the course is covered by your health cover provider’s policy; and
  • we have not yet sent the funds to our health care provider.
