Student-led events

The Graduate Research Activities and Development Scheme (GRADS) provides funding that enables student-led events for HDR students. Hosts create events on topics important to graduate researchers, which build skills and foster the sense of community. Register for these events >>

Generative AI is already part of the research landscape, but is it sharpening our thinking or quietly doing it for us? This event brings together researchers, educators, and HDR candidates to explore how AI tools can enrich rather than erode critical thinking when used well.

This interactive in-person workshop brings together HDR students across disciplines to explore relational and decolonial approaches to research through direct engagement with Indigenous knowledge holders, researchers, and community practitioners. Hear from Indigenous community leaders from Fiji, Australia, India, and Singapore.

Out of ideas? Unsure what's next? Join 50 selected HDR students from every faculty for an evening of networking with the nation's foremost scholars and top industry pioneers. Build the interdisciplinary thinking prized in every field and lay the foundation for an irreplaceable place in academia or industry.

This public panel discussion will explore how curatorial practice, embodied artistic practice, and philosophical theory each engage in "unlearning" as a core research methodology. Includes a live interactive food performance and catered networking session.
