Benefits

The scholarship will be valued at either: 

  • $3,000 payable across total units of study required for relevant course,
  • $2,000 payable across total units of study required for relevant course.

The exact value of the scholarship will be outlined in the recipient’s scholarship offer letter.

The Scholarship value is paid as an offset towards the tuition fees of the course.

If a recipient fails a unit of study, the scholarship will not cover the unit of study if the student re-enrols in the unit of study again during their eligible degree.

You must:

  • be a domestic student

  • have an unconditional offer of admission and enrol into one of the following postgraduate coursework degrees in the Postgraduate Online suite of programs:
    • Master of Project and Program Management (Online)
    • Master of Data Analytics (Online)
    • Master of Data Science (Online)
    • Master of Cyber Security (Online)

Background

This scholarship was established to encourage lifelong learning and skill development among domestic students who are completing a postgraduate masters level online degree.

1. Background

a. This Scholarship was established in 2024 to encourage lifelong learning and skill development among domestic students who are completing a postgraduate masters level online degree.

2. Eligibility

a. Applicants must have an unconditional offer of admission and enrol into one of the following postgraduate coursework degrees in the Postgraduate Online suite of programs:

I. Master of Project and Program Management (Online),
II. Master of Data Analytics (Online),
III. Master of Data Science (Online), or
IV. Master of Cyber Security (Online).

b. Applicants must be a domestic student.

c. Applicant must be a full-fee paying student.

3. Selection Criteria

a. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.

b. The Scholarship will be awarded by the Academic Director, Lifelong Learning, Deputy Vice Chancellor Education (DVCE). 

4. Value

a. Two scholarship amounts are offered based on ranking against selection criteria:

I. $3,000 payable across total units of study required for relevant course, or
II. $2,000 payable across total units of study required for relevant course.

b. The exact value of the scholarship will be outlined in the recipient’s scholarship offer letter. 

c. The Scholarship value is paid as an offset towards the tuition fees of the course. 

d. If a recipient fails a unit of study, the scholarship will not cover the unit of study if the student re-enrols in the unit of study again during their eligible degree.

e. Deferral and/or suspension of the Scholarship is not permitted.

f. The scholarship cannot be transferred to another University school, faculty or university. 

g. The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.

h. No other amount is payable.

5. Ongoing eligibility

a. To continue receipt of the Scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 50 each semester. 

b. Recipients undertaking an exchange during the tenure of this Scholarship are required to have achieved a Satisfied Requirements grade (SR) to receive their next payment. 

6. Termination

a. The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:

I. withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enrol,
II. does not maintain satisfactory academic performance, or
III. is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their Scholarship application.

b. Once the Scholarship has been terminated, it will not be reinstated unless due to University error.  

c. Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or the Scholarship is terminated under any instance in the Termination Clause of these terms and conditions, the University reserves the right to request that any Scholarship funds paid to the Scholarship recipient be reimbursed.
